Bind Off: 3-Needle

The 3-needle bind-off is used to join two sections of live stitches and requires 3 needles. It results in a chain ridge on the front side (picture 1) and purl stitches on the back side (picture 2). It provides a sturdy side seam (picture 3).

This seam was worked wrong sides together, but it can be worked right sides together for an almost invisible seam.
