Welcome to PurpleSage Designs!

In the beautiful Annapolis region of Nova Scotia, Canada, South Mountain ~ Naturally  abides in an early 1800's

homestead nestled among lakes, trees and dragonflies (we won't mention the bears!). Here PurpleSage knits, crochets, sews, quilts and plays with fibre. Happiness abounds!!

Yarns
     All of our
designs incorporate natural and/or organic yarns or blends (blends -- because some natural fibres need a little help to serve us well). Bamboo ~ Organic Cotton ~ Hemp ~ Linen ~ Silk ~ Soy ~ Wool ~ Fibre Blends

Our favourite LYS (local yarn store): Gaspereau Valley Fibres Farm Wool Shop just outside of Wolfville, Nova Scotia. A yarn shop that supports local as well as fair trade artisans -- and what a selection for knitters, crocheters, spinners and weavers!

Free Treats
There are free technique and tutorial brochures and some free patterns. The links at the right give you access to all the goodies!
