97 or 26? Calauy what? Anyway, Ramone is right, "You need more paint job, man."
When a car (especially racing cars) has some paint jobs with some customizations, it usually stands out better than others
who have none. Classics line Mirage is a perfect example. ROTF so far has a superb scout class line. When I see there will be
a repaint Knockout with some customized paint job in the later wave, I easily by pass it and wait for Reverb.
Reverbs alternate mode is a super bike just like Arcee in the first movie line. As a smaller scout class, he has less detail than
deluxe class Arcee but wait, Arcee, yeah! right here, I am talking to you. See! His front wheel can turn. It does can turn. There
are some nice details in the bike mode but lack of paint jobs to stand them out even better. That means I have to do it by
my self.
He and Knockout are the two of the bikes in the ROTF line who finally have LEGS in their robot mode and this is where the 97
now looks like 26. The transformation is simple and nice and I like the way the splited tires can position anywhere you like
with the ball joints (yeah, Arcee, I am talking to you again). The only problem, and a big problem also, is the leg panels.
There are two places that you can put them. One is on the legs and another one is on the back. Neither of them can attach
the panels well and they just easily fall off with a light touch. So I suggest just take them off during transformation or
playing and put them back while you are done. Other than this, he has a good robot mode and posibility. The gun is his right
hand just like Mega Man but there should be some painting here to distinguish it from the arm just like Knockout. Yeah, I
have to do it myself again.
Transformation: 6 - Similar to Movie Arcee but this time works beter. He can be a decent figure if he has deluxe size.
Fun: 7 - The bike mode is good and the robot mode is highly posable, but the leg panels are pain.
Display: 6 - Bike mode is better to look but cannot balance well.
Value: 6 - Standard scout class price $7.99.
Overall: 6 - The customized paint job does not stand this figure out as much as Mirage because there are many slacking part.
The figure looks nice in both mode and robot mode is highly posable but it is not as outstanding as Dead End. The falling
panels kill out the quality also.
