Hasbro used to have Skywarp packed with white Prime Ultra Magnus as a Target exclusive. From what I heard, it didn’t sell well and was even a shelf warmer. Many years later when FansProject released City Commander, this set’s after market price went up like crazy and even so just for Ultra Magnus. Then with the more availability of all other cone head seekers, Skywarp’s demand is higher and higher and his eBay price is usual about $30 to $50 not talking about the whole pack. So, after I got Generations Thundercracker, I’ve completed all cone heads and only short at Skywarp. Still I will never drop that much money on any place to get Skywarp and also not quite interest in getting a KO. Since Thundercracker is still quite available on the net and haven’t been seen at retails around me, I decided to get another one and repaint him to Skywarp to save me many bucks. Now, finally, I’ve completed the original seekers. I’ve repainted Thundercracker to Skywarp based on Classics Skywarp. Only added some additional touch ups with Reprolabels Skywarp sticker set so he looks very much like the Classics one. The repaint process is actually more difficult than I thought before. I even have to thinner the lower legs and cut a gap of path for the tail wings to move. The space there is very limited so doing those can reduce some paint scratches. So now I have a Generation Skywarp. Enjoy the pictures.
