Cyclonus

Sigh, only if I could watch the 86 movie a little bit earlier, I would get Cyclonus from the shelf right away when he was available
instead of now paying few dollars more on the evil bay. It's hard not to like him even with his bunny ears. He is powerful, smart, and
loyal, and most importantly, I haven't heard anything bad so far about his toy and that makes me want to get him more.

Cyclonus's alternate mode has a given name, hypersonic starfighter. Well, let's just say jet to make it short. Because he is not trying
to hide in disguise, this jet doesn't have to be looking realistic like Starscream in F-15. So the design can be freely and just need to
look alike on the cartoon and he is pretty close to it. The jet looks sleek and has three landing gears. He looks good from the front,
but can see some hollow parts from the back. The jet nose is extended but has no place to lock in. Any single light contact can
push the nose in. His targetmaster Nightstick can attach on top of the jet to form like a gun, but that somehow ruins the jet
sleekness I think. Overall, the jet is okay to display and not much gimmicks to play with.

After an almost brilliant transformation, Cyclonus stands tall in front of me. He is thin and tall and it's hard to tell he is transforming
from a jet. All the joints are still very tight and he is very poseable and well balanced. All four limb joints can bent to 90 degrees but
I really hope they can add one more joint, such as Mirage, then he can almost do anything. He has no weapons in robot mode but his
partner Nightstick can provide him a gun. Since he only has the fist hole on his right hand (don't know why), the gun can only be
held on his right hand. But another gimmick, which is not covered in the instruction, is if folding his left fist back in, the gun can
actually attach to this left arm, then he will have his right hand to hold another weapon. Cool.

Speaking out Nightstick, he is binary bonded to Cyclonus. He has (and is) Nebulan humanoid mode and can tranformer to a gun to
provide support to his powermaster. His humanoid mode is actually designed better than some of the mini-cons. Not much to say
about him but he is a great addition.

Transformation: 9 - Great transformation scheme, satisfying and not frustrating. The jet front into chest part is brilliant.
Fun: 9 - So fun to play with in the robot mode, plus there is Nightstick to help out. Starfighter mode isn't much though.
Display: 7 - I don't think I will display him in jet mode. Mixing him with other classic lines is great.
Value: 8 - $14.00 from eBay plus $5.00 shipping is okay. Good thing he came complete with instruction and back card.
Overall: 9 - He is a great figure even though he may not catch people's eye in the beginning (well, in my case).
