This is a Japanese henkei (change/transforme in Japanese) version, which means it is usually $10 more than Hasbro version.

Oh! With different/better/worse paint jobs and plus some not necessary additional card and comic. I will not compare this one

to Hasbro version in the review since I don't have one.

 

Bee's alternate mode is somewhat like MG ZR with additional wave crusher on a trailer. This car certainly looks nice. It rolls well

and windows are clear with seats visible. The trailer does not attach to the tow bar very tight, so pretty much it is for display

only. This is almost a nice perfect little car that I cannot find any problem. Oh, have to be careful about the shiny beaming

paint that they put on. You don't want to make any scratch on it.

 

The transformation is easy enough that no need instruction. Same like his car mode, Bee's robot mode is fairly short. I though

Hound and Hot Rod is short enough but he is even shorter. Overall, this is a really good robot. He is hightly posable and well

balanced. The only little annoying part is his foot panels at front. They can some times be easily stuck with the thighs/seats.

The trailer can also be transformed to a jetpack and attach on his back. That can make him fly............. huh? The problem is

with this jetpack attached, his head can no longer be moved to any direction. Besides jetpack, he has no weapons at all. Yes,

none. At least Prowl and Sideswipe have a lame little gun but he has none. Since I don't have any mini-cons to attach to him,

he always has to borrow something from others if I need.

 

Transformation: 8 - Fairly easy but well thought. Seat to thigh is the prior idea for Hound but Hound is doing better.

Fun: 7 - Car mode is nice and robot mode is highly posable with his short arms and legs. Jetpack is somewhat an unnecessary

additional and he lacks of any weapon.

Display: If no weapons, he is 8. You add weapons and mini-cons on him, he is 10.

Value: 7 - $22.99 for a brand new on eBay store plus $8.95 shipping. If this is not a Japanese version, I will knock my head

to the wall.

Overall: 8 - This is a nice figure in both modes with easy transformation. But I will enjoy him more if he has at least a gun

or dagger. Good thing Jetfire has too many of them so he can borrow from.
