For me, I never interests in any of the crossover sub line that Hasbro produced for Marvel heroes and Star Wars. They don’t look good and make no sense to me and they are generally pricier. When I finally bought one, it is the crossover for Star Wars General Grievous for my son. Yeah, spoil kid but I know he will like it. Indeed he does. General Grievous’s alternate mode is a star fighter. Well, General Grievous’s body can all be seen from below so I should say he is putting a star fighter backpack on his back and lay his face down to pretend he can fly. If you look from the top, it looks well. But if you look from the bottom, it just looks hilarious. Yeah, even as bad as ROTF leader Jetfire is better than this. Anyway, the transformation is super easy. Just extend the legs and separate the arms and that’s it. The hip joints are very loose so I have to fix them. Since this class is called mini, his height is a little bit shorter than regular Transformers scout class. The leg articulations are okay but he has no elbow joints. The light sabers can be extended from the arms which I think is a good design instead of make them separate and later end up losing them. There is a panel can be flip up from the chest but we all don’t know what it means, nor did the instruction say anything about it. Transformation: 2 – Are you sure he has transformation as he makes no attempts on hiding any of his body? Well, at least he is super duper easy and there won’t be any problem for my son to do it. Fun: 10 – Besides the loose hip joints which I fixed now, this is a fun toy for my son to play with and he loves it. Display: 5 – I don’t think he looks good. Value: 6 - $7.97 from Walmart for this mini crossover figure. That’s why I don’t like crossover line. Overall: 5 – I admit this toy can make kids happy and its simple design will not struggle them. But I feel just because of that simple design, he does not worth his price tag. |
