Since my wife complained to me so many times about my TFs are really not suitable for our son (and many times he asked her to

transform and she absolutely has no idea how), I went out and tried to look for some fast action figures. This new line of activators

come in the perfect timing, so I got Bumblebee for a shot and we all love it.

 

Bumblebee's alternate mode is the ROTF version Camaro. Since this activator is aiming for younger ages, the figure has been super

deformed (SD) to a cuter version. The car is actually big and chunky. Its size is smaller but pretty close to the deluxe version. He

rolls perfectly well and is very sturdy, too, that no spring panels will pop out easily like the animated line does. Paint jobs are okay.

Will definitely look much better by adding more details, but I will pass doing by my self also since this is just a toy for my son.

 

By pressing the autobot symbol on the top, the spring pops out to transform and he is almost 98% done. Just need to pull the hands

down, flip the feet down, and separate the legs, that's it. Super easy and very well designed. Putting back to the car, however, is a

little bit more challenging for a kid that certain steps have to be followed, cannot just squeeze him to put him back. The robot mode

is big and cute, too. He is very sturdy and all joints are tight, and he is quite poseable and well balanced. Since he has bigger size

than the previous animated activators, it's easier for a kid to grab in their hand, too. The plastic quality feels good that there seems

like not easily broken and no sharp edges.

 

Transformation: 1 - One button push and he is almost done. Putting back to car is a little bit more challenging, though.

Fun: 9 - In car mode, he is fun to push around and also very sturdy. In robot mode, he is poseable and sturdy, too. Only lack of

weapons but this is a toy for younger kids.

Display: 9 - He looks good and cute in either mode. Can be a perfect 10 if adding more details.

Value: 9 - Got him at a buy 1 get 1 50% at TRU. Marked down 50% off from $10.99. This is a great deal for this good toy. But the

score can be dropped to 7 if buy at full price.

Overall: 9 - At any point, he is much, much better than the previous animated activators. A excellent toy for younger children

even though putting back to a car still puzzles my son sometimes. Highly recommend.
