  • Evolution MegaLab Hungary -- An international collaboration aimed to investigate genetic polymorphism of European Cepaea land snails. I am one of the two Hungarian coordinators. Read more >>
  • mefa project -- Data handling and reporting in ecology and biogeography. This has gown out from the "Dolina 2007" project into a well established although moderately complicated R package to provide standardized computing environment for biotic data handling. Read more >>
  • Dolina 2007 -- Micro-habitat scale survey of land snails and isopods. We conducted a field experiment in dolines (karstic depressions) in the Aggtelek National Park, Hungary, in 2007. We aimed to test local adaptation capabilities and relative roles of spatial vs. local factors in shaping richness and composition of land snails and woodlice. Read more >>
  • Conservation biogeography of molluscs in Hungary -- We have gathered distribution data of Hungarian mollusc species and analysed it to explore their rarity and hotspots. Than we assessed the fauna from a conservation and biogeographic perspective. This project was mainly financed by the NKTH. As a result, we have published several peer-reviewed, popular and educational materials, and updated the IUCN Red List categorisation for the top priority and threatened species in Hungary.
