  • Dolina Project -- Micro-habitat scale survey of land snails and isopods. We conducted a field experiment in dolines (karstic depressions) in the Aggtelek National Park, Hungary, in 2007. We aimed to test local adaptation capabilities and relative roles of spatial vs. local factors in shaping richness and composition of land snails and woodlice. Read more >>
  • Conservation biogeography of molluscs in Hungary -- We have gathered distribution data of Hungarian mollusc species and analysed those to explore their rarity and hotspots. We assessed the fauna from a conservation and biogeographic perspective. This project was mainly financed by the NKTH. As a result, we have published several peer-reviewed, popular and educational materials, and updated the IUCN Red List categorization for the top priority and threatened species in Hungary.
