The largest gathering about entertainment and electronic music in the southern hemisphere, The Rio Music Conference is an environment focused on business, networking between market executives, artists and fans, with propagation of information and of course, a stage for presentation of the biggest names in electronic music in the world. A convergence pole for the market, which places Brazil in the world map of music and entertainment business. Featuring the country as international players. Rio Music Conferencewas created in 2009 to accrete products and information from a market that at the time was fragmented and dispersed, but already generated more than 3 billion dollars a year. The expectation in 2011 is to gather more than 20 thousand people e move 20 million Reais in business.

There are two days of workshops, panels and trade fair, with major news and releases from the industry, ended with five days of intense party programming with more than 40 national and international attractions, during Carnival season in Rio.

The exhibition fair will show an industry that grows and professionalizes itself each year: DJ agencies, record labels, technology and equipment companies; hardware and software; club labels, DJ shops, online radios, medias, medias platforms and other products and services of the music and entertainment industry.

The panels and workshops will address technology, marketing, artistic and professional issues, bringing knowledge and information through out the participation of the main market professionals, journalists and experts.

In the 
Village Area, new names in the scene will be playing soundtracks in a democratic and relaxing space, with bars, restaurants, wi-fi and a business lounge. A place to exchange business cards and experiences and also opportunities for new business.

Between the 4
th and the 8th of March, Rio Music Conference will make your party with the biggest names in electronic music, in two stages: Copacabana, de great boardwalk of the world, mainstream, and Ipanema, the avant-garde dance floor with forefront news from the industry. Fatboy Slim, Axwell, Bob Sinclair, Kaskade, Armin Van Buuren, Bookashade, Trentemoller, dOp, Dubfire, Dave Clarke, Carlo Lio, Marky B2B Murphy, Mauricio Lopes, Flow & Zeo, Paretto and Diogo Reis, amongst more than 40 attractions, are some of the highlights on the line up

Rio Music Conference honors in his first audience, Giorgio Moroder , Italian composer and producer who innovated in disco music, with the massive use of synthesizers in the '70s, paving the way for what later became the music electronics.

The second hall of the Rio Music Conference honors Robert Arthur Moog, inventor, musician and American engineer who, along with Herbert Deutsch, he invented the modern synthesizer, presenting in Congress in 1964, which influenced all succeeding generations of electronic equipment.


Happened on 03/03 at Rio Music Conference in Brazil one of the most interesting workshop about Electronic Interactions and Circuit Bending the art of defrag electronics, such as guitar pedals, toys and small synthesizers to create new musical instruments or other forms of visual and sound with the guests:

Vinicius Brazil - An electronics engineer working in the area of development of equipment and systems. Two years ago he returned to designing analog equipment and hybrid (analog + digital) geared specifically for the musician, like pedals, noise & drone generators and synthesizers (including modular)

Rodrigo Miravalles - Rio is part of the collective of designers and thinkers Collective DJs valve and maintains an eclectic podcast called the American Folk Magic.

DaDA Attack - Multifaceted artist, was one of the pioneers of digital djing in Brazil. 
He rode real Frankenstein computers to circumvent the restrictions he encountered, and this hacker soul remains today, changing drum machines, synthesizers old microphones and toys to create unique instruments and sounds to draw sonic landscape beyond the hi-fi and common.
