Minimum qualifications for active student membership shall be as follows:For undergraduate students:- Completion of at least 3 semesters or 5 quarters of college courses.
- Completion of 9 credits of psychology courses at University of Maryland at College Park
- Must be a psychology major at UMD.
- You must have a 3.3 GPA in psychology courses and a 3.0 cumulative GPA at UMD.
For graduate students:- An average grade of “B” or better in all graduate courses, including psychology. Psi Chi accepts the policy of the institution regarding grades.
For all students:- Registration for major standing in psychology or for a program psychological in nature which is equivalent to such standings.
- High standards of personal behavior.
- Two-thirds affirmative vote of those present at a regular chapter meeting.
- In order to be an Active Member you must attend 1 service event and 2 meetings.
