Alumni Online Looking for long lost friends? got exciting developments that you would like to share? here are some options. A PSG Tech Alumni Association Group has been established on LinkedIn. Once you have requested to join the group, we will approve your request. Please make sure you have PSG College of Technology listed in your education profile on LinkedIn.
An orkut community called PSG College of Technology has been established. This is not an open community. Once you reach the community page, you will be allowed to join but the administrator will have to approve your request. Got loads of memories to share? Post them on flickr. A flickr group called PSG Tech has been created. This is not an open group. Anyone can view the images, but you need to be a member of the group to be able to post images. Once you reach the group page, you will be able to join but the administrator will have to approve your request.

Main Purpose Of This Website
The main purpose of this web site was to revive the
Chennai Chapter of the Alumni Association. The Chennai Chapter has
been, for long, one of the most active and vibrant Chapters. Somewhere
along the line it had become dormant. If the Chapter is active there are lot benefits we could all, at a personal
level, derive from a active and vibrant Chapter.
In addition to the web site , the Executive Council can (and will) co-op
additional members from time-to-time. This will enable the Chapter to
taps on the extensive base available to it and also involve more Alumni
in the organization of the Chapter.
DISCUSSION ON FUTURE PLANS / ACTIVITIES:
- GRD Trophy for Debate - amongst Engg Colleges
- General Body meeting every alternate month (lecture + dinner)
- 3 day activity filled AGM
- Talent contest for alumni children at the AGM
- Publication of souvenir / address book of alumni.
- Publication of a newsletter.
- Connect with the 'highly active' Batches
Various potential
activities / plans for the immediate future :
- Publication of a periodic Newsletter (consider sponsorships)
- Take over and 'operationalise' the Alumni flat at Saidapet.
- Consider employing a clerk to man the Office.
- Seek seed money from the Parent Chapter.
- Introduce managerial processes in the chapter activities (make less personalized).
- Formation of an Alumni 'Tech Music"
- Various sports activities.
- Network and share information with other Chapters also.
