The annual PSAI Postgraduate Conference will take place at University College Dublin's School of Politics and International Relations on the 25th and 26th of April.

Papers are welcome on all areas of politics and international relations, as well as related disciplines, and complete panel proposals will also be considered. Panels and paper proposals are particularly encouraged in the following areas: 

1) Politics of Northern Ireland
2) Politics of the Republic of Ireland
3) International Relations
4) European Politics
5) Political Theory
6) Political Economy
7) Comparative Politics
8) Political History
9) Human Rights
10) The Politics of Development
11) 1968: Protest and Activisim

2008 will be the 40th Anniversary of a year of global protest and political activism, including student protests against the Vietnam War in the USA; the American civil rights movement and the death of Martin Luther King; the Northern Irish civil rights movement; and student and workers strikes in France. We would particularly encourage paper proposals that reflect any aspect of the politics of protest or activism in 1968 in any of the above areas.
