Our Red Devon beef is tiny compared to the commercial breeds you generally see in the fields but uniquely suited to conditions in this damp end of the country. It converts the species rich pasture into fantastic meat which is enhanced by a long hanging period on the bone.

We buy pork from a very good local organic farmer called Anthony Lee. In the past we produced all our own pigs but recently the unprecidented wet weather has made it impossible on our Devon clay soil. We are very pleased to support Anthony who has drier higher fields.

Pork is often available as are our home cured bacon, ham and sausages made with simple ingredients. They are tasty too.

The butcher can cut to your requirements, we only need to know, contact us  to discuss.
