What makes Providence Farms organic meat stand out from the rest? Devon grass. LOTS OF LOVE! And pigs, chickens, ducks and geese from happy outdoor ORGANIC parents.
Top chefs and food writers agree………….. ‘Pammy and Ritchie must be the most committed poultry farmers in the country and they have a gift for producing the very finest meat. For chickens, geese and ducks they are without question my first choice.’ Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall Oct 2002
‘………like pork used to be, with excellent length and depth of flavour, well distributed fat and perfect crackling.’ Philippa Davenport Financial Times December 2000
‘Great legs. Skin beautiful. Very classy bird.’ Organic Food Award Judges October 2003 From 2000 to 2004 we were never out of the winning spot especially in the National Organic Food Awards. Our delicious organic meat; pork, duck and chicken and beef won again and again. several times we were Highly Recommended as Producer of the Year too.
It was these winnings that brought us into close contact with Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and the River Cottage Team, where Pammy is 'The Chicken Whisperer' and runs the 'Chicken in a Day' courses.
All this is testament to our commitment to producing food that sits well with our consciences and tastes wonderful. |
