About Inform 7

Inform 7 is a design system for Interative Fiction.  Its unique selling point is that in place of traditional computer programming, the design is built by writing natural English-language sentences.

At its best, expressing IF in natural language results in source text which is not only quick to write, but very often works first time, and is exceptionally readable.

About Informatic

Informatic is a design template for planning interactive fiction games.  It enables us to create standard regions, rooms, doors, backdrops, objects and people and generate Inform 7 code from the information in the template.  The template is a Word document and works only under Windows.   You can download the template here.

Informatic is version 1.3 (Beta).  The basic functionality has been tested but the full functionality may still need to be developed.
