The collaboration and the integration are among the values prized by the GIGA Project participating institutions, which guide the actions of their professionals engaged in the project daily activities.


RNP – National Education and Research Network
One of the leaders in building and developing a link between GIGA Project and similar projects and initiatives in experimental networks in Brazil and overseas. Some of the interests related to the project include the promotion of experimental studies and research in new network architectures to support “future networks” and the fostering of advanced experimentation in the Experimental High-Speed Network – GIGA Network.


Telecom Service Providers
Key members in establishing and maintaining the GIGA Experimental High-Speed Network, particularly offering access to inactive optical fibers needed for the deployment and expansion of the network, which is lighted up by using GIGA project’s equipment. Some of the providers’ interests include the chance to have access to the results of GIGA Project research and development and to benefit from the use of the Experimental Network to conduct advanced tests on new services, applications and equipment before deploying them in their networks.


Telecom Service Providers
Key partner to make GIGA Project feasible, particularly in providing financial resources through FUNTTEL and FINEP. Some of the interests in the project include the transfer of GIGA Project knowledge and technology to local industries to contribute to Brazil’s technological competitiveness, and the use of the High-Speed Experimental Network as an open laboratory for the Brazilian academic communities, companies and industries.


Industries
Vital partners in achieving the project goal – technological innovation. Their interest in the project can include the scientific and technological results achieved along the R&D life cycle and the use of the Experimental Network for validating and testing product and service technologie.


Universities (R&D) and Science and Technology Institutes (STI)
Very important partners to achieve the results set out in the project. Their interest includes the collaboration in R&D and the use of the Experimental Network for validating and testing product and service technologies for broadband applications.


Other projects
Any local or international project or initiative guided towards experimental network research is considered a potential partner for cooperation with GIGA Project. In this case, the objective is to promote the researchers’ integration with focus on their participation in experimental activities by sharing optical networks. Experimental Network Users 
Any institution interested in or in need of conducting tests on high-speed network applications, services, products and technologies is considered a potential user of the Project GIGA Experimental Network.
