The Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park is proud to be the Project WILD hub for the Southern California Region!

Why WILD? Teaching How to Think, Not What to Think since 1983

Project WILD is a wildlife-focused conservation education program for K-12 educators and their students produced by the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies (AFWA). The goal of Project WILD is to assist learners of any age in developing awareness, knowledge, skills, and commitment to result in informed decisions, responsible behavior, and constructive action concerning wildlife and the environment on which all life depends.

The Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park is proud to be a state partner for Project WILD. By partnering with the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies to administer the family of Project WILD programs for California, the Santa Ana Zoo has now opened the opportunities for California’s formal and non-formal educators to attend trainings and obtain resources and guidance in this award-winning environmental education curriculum.
