Welcome to Project Trexxas, this is a site where you will find several lists of all the best upgrade parts I have found over the years for the Traxxas Rustler and the Traxxas Slash 2wd (4x4 coming soon...), so that if you are new to the hobby you can get the right parts the first time.
For instance, the most common mistake noobs (beginners) make with their RC cars is when they are looking for upgrade parts they automatically look for aluminum parts. Because they want the shiny high tech material, and have this idea that it will make their car bullet proof, but it won`t, it will only transfer the stress somewhere else, and then you will blame a breakage on your stock plastic parts and upgrade them with aluminum and so on, when in reality it is probably your aluminum parts that are causing the problem. The Solution? I know, this is starting to sound like a sales pitch, but it isn't. Anyways, as I was saying, the solution is to buy parts that will work well with each other, I run an aluminum bulkhead and aluminum casters because you want the stiffness to prevent your pins from bending, and then I run RPM (Nylon) a-arms and carriers, that way when I crash the nylon parts will absorb the blow and my aluminum parts will save my pins. If you think of it it is sort of like a sword, you want to put the hard steel on the outside to make your sword more durable, and you want the soft steel inside to prevent it from breaking if bent. Because like I said, I am constantly updateing this site with new infromation so that you can get the newest stuff for the best price, therefore I can never say that the site is complete.
