Project Suyana Charity Date Auction

 Any amazing revamp ideas???

-       lighting is a cheap way to change the CDA environment: tree lights w/filters to change the color

NOTE: when talking about “auctionees” call them “charity date auction participants”

-       people aren’t bidding on participants, they are bidding on dates with the participants

 TIME/PLACE: Thursday, Feb 4^th at the League Ballroom

-       Ballrooom (5-11pm)

-       Michigan (2-7pm for set up)

TICKETS: $6 with a donation box

 THEME: I <3 the 80s

-       participants can dress 80s

-       can play their fav 80s song or music video (?) when bidding

o      projector w/ a screen and speaker

o      Adnan- make a video

-       80s costume contest????

-       beads, like last year

-       There is an updated GoogleDoc email and anyone can email Dayna with questions. No excuses for not recruiting people!!!!

-       ASA- SHAZA, PSA- TODD, MSA- LISA, IASA- email Nishi

-       Big Orgs: Hillel, IASA, Habitat for Humanity, DMUM, Athletics- football? Marching band??

-       Idea: student group that has the most members present at the DA gets something

o      $100? Or 10% of their proceeds go back to them?

o      Raffle where each person per group can put a ticket in the raffle

o      Talk to SOAS about transferring funds to groups

TIMELINE

-       December 16 (2 weeks): compiled list of contacted student groups that will be performing and contacted individual participants w/ the student group they’re representing

-       Throughout the rest of December: contact restaurants

-       BY JANUARY 4: confirmed list of performing groups and participants

-       By January 4: decorations finalized

-       Starting January 4: publicize!!! At least one flyer designed.

-       January 13: mass meeting with individual participants

-       FEBURARY 4 is the Charity Date Auction. That is only one month from when we get back.
