| PROJECT SUYANA's mission is to narrow disparities in rural regions in Puno, Peru and combat them with a sustainable approach utilizing culturally appropriate, community-based projects. We hope to enhance the viability of rural life through goodwill, community partnership and practical action.

We are looking for dedicated students at the University of Michigan students to help with on-campus operations, to plan public health, education, and anthropological programs, and to volunteer during our annual summer trip to Peru. We are still a fledgling organization, and looking for people who have a handle on Spanish, like to travel and get to know different cultures, want to have a summer experience of a lifetime, and dedicate time to help lead a great organization! We are looking for people to get involved on-campus as well as participate in our annual summer trip to Peru. Come to our weekly meetings on Wednesdays @ 8:30-10ish pm in Palmer Commons, 6th Floor, Boardroom 5. We have meetings scheduled there through the semester, so look out for room changes during the rest of year. Every week we get together, discuss target issues in Peru and on campus, and exchange ideas. Everyone who is interested in our group is welcome to come, ask questions, and get involved!
Hope to see you soon! |
