Kinesiology Core Subjects

 
The Core Subjects are additional studies necessary for a trainee Kinesiologist to undertake to become a fully professional Kinesiologist. These are Kinesiology National Occupational Standards which are in place to ensure anyone holding the title KFRP shows they have completed all of these standards as set by the the kinesiology self regulation panel of the Kinesiology Federation to ensure professional standards are countrywide and to ensure that people who receive treatments are with a properly trained practitioner. The Progressive Kinesiology Academy (Wellness Alliance Umbrella) has OCN units now in most of the core subjects - A & P will follow by 2012
 
The Core Subjects are:
To become a professional and on completion of the practitioner training you also have mentoring sessions to assist you once you have first qualified. These are continued until you have completed the core subjects and 200 insured hours. These are on a one to one basis at £35 per hour or in a group setting of £20 per session per person.  The mentor should be a professional who can assist your development of your practice and professionalism. You may then upgrade to a fully professional Kinesiologist.
 
To continue this professional status means also undertaking continued professional development (CPD) every two years.
