Conoscere la storia significa conoscere i fatti, verificare i documenti, confrontare le testimonianze e cercare riscontri con un indagine sul campo; significa conoscere le storie dei protagonisti e delle società di provenienza; significa inoltre conoscere come le vite dei protagonisti e delle comunità sono cambiate durante e dopo la guerra.
Insegnare la storia significa dare ai giovani strumenti semplici per orientarsi in questa complessità, aiutarli a porsi domande più che a fornire risposte.

"Identità e cittadinanza". Per una cittadinanza attiva europea

In Europa, oggi più che mai, il discorso sulla cittadinanza, sull'identità e sull'appartenenza assume una particolare importanza. L'identità è una realtà viva che si articola tra continuità e cambiamento, e rinvia sempre ad una storia che ci precede. L'insegnamento della storia locale può contribuire a costruire il senso di identità sociale dei giovani. Studiando la storia locale si può cogliere il significato non locale di fenomeni verificatisi in ambiti circoscritti e, nel contempo, capire l'incidenza locale di fenomeni generali.
La Seconda Guerra Mondiale ha rappresentato il punto di svolta tra il vecchio e il nuovo mondo: tutto ripartì (anche se non da zero) da quel conflitto. Qui è possibile far risalire alcune (sicuramente la maggior parte) delle problematiche attuali, ma anche l'idea di un Europa unita.
 
    Il progetto educativo “Linea Gotica, linea della memoria” (.pdf) prese avvio a seguito del convegno “Una montagna di Pace: la linea Gotica dei monti della Riva, 8-9 giugno 2002”, dove reduci americani, tedeschi e partigiani raccontarono la loro esperienza di guerra sui Monti della Riva. Il Presidente della Repubblica Italiana ci fece pervenire un suo saluto.

    Da qui nacque l’idea del “diorama vivente”, il cui punto di forza di questa modalità altamente interattiva è l’approccio emozionale volto alla comprensione del cambiamento interiore delle persone durante la guerra. Inoltre, contemplando i differenti punti di vista dei protagonisti (partigiani, soldati americani e soldati tedeschi), è possibile comprendere l’importanza del dialogo e del confronto interculturale come mezzo per evitare i conflitti.
    
    Nell’era del passaggio del testimone, risulta indispensabile imparare a sfruttare la testimonianza dei luoghi, leggendone le stratificazioni ed i segni.
    
    L’obiettivo del progetto è quello di avviare il processo interiore di rielaborazione dell’ultimo conflitto mondiale che vide coinvolte l’Italia e l’Europa. Il tutto è supportato da schede didattiche, documenti originali, testimonianze, giornali e foto d’epoca.

"Obiettivi educativi". Storia, complessità, intercultura, emozioni, pace e relazioni

Si vuole avviare il processo interiore di rielaborazione dell'ultimo conflitto mondiale che vide coinvolte l'Italia e l'Europa. Il tutto è supportato da schede didattiche, documenti originali, testimonianze, giornali e foto d'epoca.
Al centro dell'attività c'è l'uomo-soldato, la sua vita da quando era civile fino a quando è arrivato al fronte, per concludersi alle problematiche legate alla rielaborazione del ricordo. Questi aspetti personali sono trattati dai tre punti di vista: alleato, tedesco e partigiano.
La metodologia si propone di raccontare con i fatti la complessità della guerra – per quanto possibile – in tutti i suoi aspetti: economico, militare, sociale e personale, andando oltre alle affermazioni superficiali legate all'orrore, alla brutalità o alla fatalità. Vuole cercare di spiegare non solo come sia stato possibile arrivare a ciò ma, soprattutto, focalizzare il cambiamento interiore delle persone coinvolte. La guerra cambia gli uomini, cambia la percezione della realtà, cambia la scala dei valori e il ritorno alla normalità non è né semplice né scontato.
Parlare di storia, delle esperienze vissute di questi uomini-soldati serve a vedere la guerra da dentro ed emerge con chiarezza ed evidenza il messaggio di pace e il rispetto dell'altro. Scrive Freud: "Tutto ciò che fa sorgere legami emotivi tra gli uomini deve agire contro la guerra". (Sigmund Freud nella lettera di risposta a Albert Einstein, settembre 1932).

"Identity and citizenship". For active European citizenship

Now, more than ever, the debate about European citizenship, identity and belonging has taken on particular importance.
Identity is a living reality between continuity and change with continuous reference to what went before.
The teaching of local history may help to build a sense of social identity amongst young people.
By studying local history one can grasp the significance of certain non-local phenomena while understanding the local impact of general phenomena.
The Second World War was the turning point between the old and the new world: everything started anew (though not from scratch) from this conflict. To this event can be traced back some (indeed most) current issues, but also the idea of a united Europe.
 
The Educational Project "Gothic Line, a Line of Memories" (.pdf) was started as a consequence of the conference called "A mountain of peace: the Gothic Line of the Riva Mountains", held on 8th-9th June 2002. At this conference American veterans, Germans and partisans told of their war experiences on the Riva mountains. The Italian President sent us his greeting.

From this was born the idea of a diorama vivente (living showcase) whose main strength is its highly interactive nature and its emotional approach which is aimed at understanding the internal changes which took place in people during the war. Moreover, hearing the different points of view of the protagonists (partisans and American and German soldiers) it's possible to understand the importance of dialogue and intercultural relations as a means of avoiding conflicts. In this period when  witnesses will soon no longer be with us, it is important to learn and make use of  testimony of the places, understanding everything it has to tell us.
 
The aim of the project is to set in motion subjective processes regarding the historical view of the last World War, which involved Italy and Europe. Everything is supported by study notes, original documents, testimonies, newspapers and photos of the period.

The methodology aims to explain through the facts the complexity of war – as much as possible – in all its aspects: economic, military, social and personal, going beyond superficial affirmations of its horror, brutality and inevitability.
It try to explain not only how it was possible to reach such a point but, most of all, to focus on subjective changes in the people involved. War changes men, changes their perception of reality, changes their scale of values, and the return to normality is neither simple nor inevitable.
 
 
 
 

"Educational aims". History, Complexity, Interculture, Emotions, Peace, Relations

    We would like to start an inner process of reviewing the last world war – where both Italy and Europe were involved. Everything is supported by educational cards, original documents, testimonies, newspapers and pictures of the time. At the centre of this activity is the man-soldier, his life as a citizen before and after arriving at the front, which goes on with the problems connected with the reprocessing of memories. These personal aspects are seen from three points of view: the ally, the German, the partisan.
    The methodology aims at relating the complexity of war through facts - as much as possible - in all its aspects: economical, military, social and personal, going beyond the superficial assertions connected with horror, brutality or fatality. It aims at explaining not only how all this could possibly happen, but most of all at focussing on the inner change of the people involved. War changes men, it changes the perception of reality, the scale of values and returning to normal life is neither easy nor granted.
    Talking about history and about the experiences lived by these men-soldiers helps us to see war from inside, and a message of peace and of respect for the other clearly emerges. As Freud wrote: "all that creates emotional bindings between men must work against war". (Sigmund Freud in his answer to Albert Einstein, September 1932).
 
   
Projet « Front Gothique, front de la mémoire »
 
 
Le projet éducatif « Front Gothique, front de la mémoire » (.pdf) commença  suite au colloque « Une montagne de Paix : la front Gothique des Monts de la Riva, 8-9 juin 2002 » où des combattants américains, allemands et des partisans raconteront leur expérience de guerre sur les monts de la Riva. Le Président de la République Italien a nous envoyé un message de salut.
D'ici nacquit l'idée du « diorama vivant » dont la caractéristique c'est l'approche émotionnelle qui vise la compréhension  intérieur des personnes pendant la guerre.
Il est, en effet, passable de comprendre l'importance du dialogue et de la comparaison interculturelle comme moyen pur éviter les conflits. Il est indispensable d'apprendre à exploiter le témoignage des lieux en lisant, les signes et les stratifications.
L'objectif du projet est de commencer le processus intérieur de réélaboration de la dernière guerre mondiale où l'Italie, l'Europe furent les protagonistes tout cela est intégré par des fiches didactiques, des documents originaux, des témoignage, des journaux et des photos de cette époque-là.
 
La méthodologie vise à raconter la complexité de la guerre à travers les faits dans tous ses aspect : économique, militaire, social et personnel. La guerre change la perception de la réalité, les valeurs ; le retour à la « normalité » n'est pas simple.
 
Parlé de l’histoire et de l'expérience de ces hommes/soldats, permettra nous de voir la guerre de l’intérieur et s’élèvera le message de paix et de respect pour les autres. A écrit Freud : « Tout ce qui ressortit aux liens basés sur les sentiments d'affinités entre les hommes ne peut agir que contre la guerre » (Freud a Albert Einstein, Septembre 1932).
