Watch out!!! The businesses that have been around for a few years, and they have nearly a hundred reviews with a perfect 5.0 rating, have not only (most likely) PAID for those reviews, but there are companies out there that you can hire to remove negative reviews from your profile... I have been in business in Austin for 14 years and I don't have nearly that many reviews, and I admit that I have a few negative reviews (always regarding some scheduling issue, and never my actual performance)... This is because I would never pay for reviews or hire someone to remove negative reviews... To be in business for even a year or two, and not receive a single complaint, especially in this day and age when people are criticizing everything, is highly suspicious... So who knows how many negative experiences people may have had with these other dishonest service providers... All i'm saying is, if they have a perfect 5.0 rating, out of a bunch of reviews, and they are a relatively new business... and there are companies out there that will create positive reviews for your business and even remove the negative ones... then most likely that's what they're doing... I get approached by companies all the time that are offering to do this for me, and I will never reduce myself to that level...

When I started this business in 2009, I had a good friend who was a Corporate Attorney (graduated from Harvard Law). I was lucky enough to have him as a sort of "business advisor", and one thing he told me was that "you're not a true business until there are both, people who love you AND people who hate you".......
This was kinda troublesome for me since I certainly don't want anyone to "hate" me, but he was an EXTREMELY smart man and he explained to me that it is inevitable, given enough time, that you will run into people that "can't be satisfied", no matter how hard you try. Having been in this business for nearly 10 years now, I have found that, of course, he was right! Anyone who says that they have done over 4600 jobs, and every single one of those jobs went PERFECTLY, and every single customer was totally satisfied......they would be lying to you! Anyone with a perfect 5 star rating, either has very little experience, or they are getting their good reviews by hiring a company that posts fake reviews for them. They might also pay their customers to post reviews for them, which isn't that bad as long as they are honest about their experience......I won't do either of those things!!!!! So every review I have is from an actual customer who was not motivated by money to voice their support for me on a public forum......
- Fake reviews are pretty easy to spot if you know what to look for, and since the point is to have a lot of good reviews to improve the overall rating, there will typically be a lot of them, which makes it even easier to notice.
- A tiny fraction of satisfied customers will actually post any kind of review, so good reviews are very hard to come by (when you're not paying for them).
- These days, a review will basically be an "all or nothing" type of situation......either 5 stars or 1 star. It's pretty rare to see anything in between, so if there is even the slightest problem, they give you the lowest score possible. I have had people that I never worked for, that confused me for someone else, post a negative review of my business. Even after taking steps to notify them of the error, it has never been corrected and actually still exists today. Alternatively, while examining some of my competitors' reviews, I found a good review for a job that I did, and it's posted on my competitor's business profile right now, with my name on it, from a customer that I clearly remember working for......That happened in 2016, and it has never been corrected.
- I'm not sure if this has happened to any of my competitors, but for some reason Yelp has filtered nearly a third of the reviews that I have received, ALL of which I have personally verified as having been actual legitimate jobs that i've done. This process is supposed to be for the purpose of eliminating the "fake reviews" that people pay companies to post for them, but it is apparently doing the exact opposite!
..........Anyway, that's my rant on that subject. I have lot's of other views too, but maybe i'll start a blog for that......lol
