SURFACE PREPARATION

Remove as much of the large concrete pieces and spatters as possible by chipping at the material with a tool. In some instances, the use of a pressure washer with a turbo tip will help to remove large pieces of concrete from the glass.

APPLICATION

This product will break down concrete and mortar, but only microscopic layers at a time. Large pieces will take longer to remove. Use a spray bottle to apply product to the stained area on the glass. Lightly agitate with a soft bristle brush to loosen the concrete. Allow the product to remain on the surface until all residues are visibly removed. Use water to rinse, dilute and neutralize the cleaner on the glass and reveal the glass surface. Make sure to wet all adjacent surfaces such as precast and concrete prior to application of this product on glass. Do not allow this product to remain on any stone surfaces as it will stain. Repeat as many times as necessary to remove concrete residue.

If the concrete material has been left on the glass for an extended period of time, it may etch into the glass causing damage that may not be repairable with this product. In this situation, use Presto’s Glass ReSurfacer® System to polish and renew the glass.

Tip: Presto’s Glass Defender® Series can be used on glass surfaces prior to concrete or masonry work that might allow concrete or mortar material to come in contact with the glass. The Glass Defender Series will protect the surface so that if concrete does attach to the glass, it can easily be removed by standard window cleaning procedures. The Glass Defender Series will also help to protect the glass from scratching if scrapers need to be used in the cleaning process.
