MINNEAPOLIS TORNADO STORY:

    Unity Point World is your virtual world. It is the future. It is the point where your real life blends with your virtual life. Do not be alarmed. At least not yet, because the real world is still more prevalent. But for how long? That is the question. Do not get it twisted, and do not be confused; this is the future. You can come along now or later, but eventually you will be drawn in.  This site lives because of you, and what you say and do will decide its future. We live the majority of our lives in our minds, virtually, without a world full of others to connect to. Unity Point World (UP Dub) is intended to connect others like yourself in a virtual atmosphere that you create and control; a world unlike the real world. This one is created and driven by you. This is big, much bigger than you and I, because in this world we live, share, and most importantly, integrate our solutions into actions. Cyberspace is for the most part empty, and this is one of the ways to utilize that empty space. In UP Dub we encourage, promote, and insist that action speaks louder than words. So after we share our concerns we will collaborate with others to find solutions and then implement them into our worlds. We will also simultaneously refuse to draw lines between age, gender, race, religion, political affiliation, and any other issues that separate us rather than unite us. Even though, at times, we will disagree, UP Dub will always move us forward.         
 
    Now, I know this concept may seem a bit strange to many of you, but for others this is exactly what you have been waiting for. It is to be taken very seriously and should not be played with because as in the real world, you can use it and/or abuse it and there are serious consequences for both. We will be dealing with some very serious issues, choosing life and death for many people. We will also be dealing with lighter issues that can be laughed off. We must help each other understand the seriousness of what we are doing when we are doing it. This is a second chance for you to live your life as the person you are and want to be, so don't blow it. I offer you this invitation to share your mind and time with the world, on a very personal basis. Let's build this world together. Find your place in this world and start developing it, right now. Be a site leader, reporter, blogger, doer, active watcher, etc. Don't wait...this opportunity may only come once in a lifetime.  Let's learn together, live together, and change the world together.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    

    Why does everything take so long? Why do we have to get dressed, get in the car, and fight the traffic and weather, all just to connect with friends, go to school, and/or work? Why can't we do this virtually? We can!!! We just have to start doing it. We will limit the real world conflicts by substituting the virtual world’s ease of access. There are fewer restrictions, demands, and rules to follow in UP Dub. As a matter of fact, you set the rules and guidelines yourself. How great is that?
