Patrick Lennon is a seasoned mind-body
health professional with over 35 years experience providing individual, relationship, and group healing strategies. He received his Masters
degree in Clinical Social Work from the University of Iowa and
his doctorate in Counseling Psychology from William Lyon University.
He is a licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in Illinois
and is, a Diplomat in Clinical Social Work.
Dr. Lennon is also a Board Certified Diplomat in Clinical Hypnotherapy, and a significant
part of his practice involves the strategic clinical utilization of
Therapeutic Hypnosis. He instructs all of his clients in the
discipline of self-hypnosis, empowering them to take control of their
lives.
Over the years he has helped thousands of clients to manage
stress, control their weight, eliminate smoking (in just one visit), Increase self-esteem and strengthen personal and interpersonal skills.
He
teaches courses on stress management and self-hypnosis at the
university level and works with several corporate and business wellness
programs. He has also facilitated a series of stop smoking programs
using Therapeutic Hypnosis at Central DuPage Hospital.
Dr.
Lennon uses a variety of psycho/spiritual healing strategies including
the Enneagram System for discerning and awakening to ones “Root
Motivational Bias” style. This RMB style influences how we experience,
perceive and relate to ourselves, others, and the world. Dr. Lennon
uses this powerful psycho/spiritual system with clients as a
tool of discernment for finding their “True Self”. The system is
supported by an understanding of the Triune Brain Theory developed by
Dr. Paul MacLean, M.D. at the National Institutes of Health in
Washington, DC.
Dr. Lennon is a Certified Enneagram Teacher in
the Narrative Tradition by Helen Palmer, M.A. and David Daniels, M.D.,
and he has taught with Enneagram Teacher and author Jerry Wagner, Ph.D.
in the Enneagram Certification Program at Loyola University in
Chicago.
Dr. Lennon’s spirituality is grounded primarily in the
Judeo/Christian mystical traditions. He is an ordained Roman Catholic
Deacon of the Diocese of Davenport and assists clients in working
through spiritual crises and other spiritual or religious related
concerns.
