PICAYUNE - Plans for the Pearl River County Amateur Radio Club to participate in the upcoming Picayune Street Fair are now being finalized. The Street Fair is slated for April 4 and 5.

Like last year, the county’s premier amateur radio group will have a booth up near the intersection of West Canal Street and Main Street.

Plans are for the club to have a HF station in operation, as well as a VHF station for local communication. The HF station will use a vertical antenna.

Club members should be on hand to show off the equipment and the hobby, to tell others about the hobby and to explain emergency services provided by the PRCARC.
