POPLARVILLE - As the dawn was breaking over southern Mississippi Saturday, a crew of ham radio operators were showing up at the tower site of the Pearl River County Amateur Radio Club to raise a new antenna for the 145.210 repeater.
    After several hours spent taking old antennas down and lowering older feedlines, a new DB-224-E antenna was raised to the top of the tower for installation.
    Once the antenna was bolted up, all that was left was to “clean the tower” of pulleys, ropes and clamps before making final adjustments to the repeater.
