
The Pearl River County Amateur Radio Club is located in Pearl River County, Mississippi. We invite all amateur operators or those interested in amateur radio in this area including Pearl River County, Washington Parish, Stone County, Lamar County, Hancock County, St.Tammany Parish, or elsewhere to join us. The PRC Amateur Radio Club holds its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the Emergency Operations Center on Highway 26 in Poplarville, MS. For more information, contact Larry Wagoner at (601)590-0553. Two-meter Amateur Radio operators are invited to join the 2-meter radio net held on the Poplarville Repeater each Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. The Repeater operates at 145.210 Mhz with a negative 600 offset and tone of 136.5. The PRC Amateur Radio Club periodically offers amateur radio operator classes to those interested.
The PRC Amateur Radio Club, in conjunction with the National Weather Service, periodically offers SkyWarn training to volunteers who serve as ground observers in the case of weather emergencies.
