Introduction

Illustrating Conversations with God

Prayright:  A person who focuses their prayers through creative right-brained activities to illustrate a conversation with God.

To pray "right" means to use the right side of your brain by creating illustrations of your conversations with God. Illustrating a prayer may include using symbols, organizational maps, drawings, music, or other creative activities. Praying "right" takes time, focus, and intention. Praying through the use of illustrations gives visual learners a tool to stay connected to God throughout the day.

God does not need these creative prayer activities in order to better hear us. He already knows what we need and is eager to have us come to him in faith believing He hears us and cares for us. The example prayer Jesus gave His disciples was simply spoken. These creative prayer activities are tools to help us listen and talk to God.

Just like a prayer journal these creative prayer activities are reminders of where we have been in conversation with God. The experience is intended to be unique to each individual, to connect God's goodness to our lives, and to build a closer relationship with Him. Illustrating conversations with God will open our ears to listen for God's direction, open our mouths to talk to God our Father, and open our hearts to receive His blessings through prayer.
