Welcome to the P.R.A.I.S.E. Young Adult Ministry Website Serving St. Andrew's in Lytle and St. John Bosco in Natalia
The P.R.A.I.S.E Ministry was founded with the hope of reaching out to young adults (ages 18-39) in our parishes to help them feel welcome and insired to be a part of the body of Christ.
So what does P.R.A.I.S.E. stand for?
P * Prayer - All things that lead us us to God start with prayer therfore it is fitting that the name of our ministry start with it also.
R * Reading and reflection - Scripture is the basis for understanding God's revelation to us and so too it is the basis for our vision for this ministry. God's word is alive with the Holy Spirit, it draws us in and in the process we discover our true identity as children of God.
A * Adoration - Seeking God requires humility and in this humility we find our faith fueled by God's love. Adoration is our way of showing our devotion in response to His love that we can not earn and we can not lose.
I * Inspiration - As our faith becomes more real to us we are inspired to share it and live it. Through this ministry we want to create meaningful opportunities that are focused on bringing young adults closer to Christ and each other.
S * Sharing and service - We are committed to connecting young adults for fellowship and service for the community. Through sharing our faith we are able to grow and enbrace the mission of Christ as our own.
E * Equip - Our ultimate objective of this ministry is to equip young adults with the gifts of our christian faith so that they may walk with Christ more closely and confidently.
Meetings
Team meetings are on the 1st Thursday of the month at St. Andrew's and on the 3rd Thursday of the month at St. John Bosco. Meetings start at 7:00pm and last until 8:30. We need your input to help this ministry achieve its goals of connecting young adults with Christ, each other, the community through service, and to the church body.
