    Read & Write for Pragyan

    Friends,

We do believe that it is not always necessary for a bird to have a garden for twittering at the crack of dawn.  Instead, the bird who can sing sitting anywhere, he finds to sit on, make mankind dream for a garden.

It’s our unique journey for last six years started with one single step forward. Now, whenever  some friends inquire that why we're not  flying , we only find a reason to rejoice, if not getting able to fly !!  “Use Whatever Resources You Have” –these are the buzzwords which made us to survive all these years and reach to you.

So, please, don't be dismayed if we don't have any independent site.  Let’s make journey together. Please, do read and write in PRAGYAN.

With Thanks  Sushanta Kar,    Executive Editor, Pragyan

    Pragyan, August 2011

It’s our pleasure to present you the August, 11 issue (Volume ix; Issue i) of PRAGYAN .   We have dedicated the issue to on going struggle against corruption lead by Anna Hazare.  We have presented five valuable thought provoking articles on the topic. Arup Baisya, a renowned activist and writer from Silchar reviewed the whole issue of corruption and struggle related to it and concluded by saying, “The oligopolies and their hangers-on are up in arms to dismantle the system of constitutional democracy and the people with their increasingly loosening grip over the system have upped the ante and started coming out to the streets. Only a move from a ‘democracy deficit’ to ‘democracy surplus’ through a process of severing the linkages of the system with the forces of globalization striving with a  neo-liberal drive can only lead us out of this crisis. But for this, we have to pause, ponder and position ourselves to organize new initiatives and thoughts.” Baikuntha Das one of Tinsukia college faculty did the same on his article: Corruptin Dynamics and Fight it out—through Lokpal.    While Ranandra Khaund wrote on ‘Protecting Whistleblowers in India’, Partha Pratim Bartthakur gave a thought on ‘Re-nourishing the Indian State.’ Both are research scholars under Dibrugarh University. Himjyoti Talukdar , a renowned Assamese writer and editor presented a general overview of the issue in his write up in Assamese জন লোকপাল বিল, দুর্নীতি আৰু  ভাৰতবর্ষ’

The American Educationist Joseph Landsberger continues to write on Study Guides and Strategies. This time he has written on ‘Problem Solving andDecision Making’ The same translation by Bantimala Devi and the Bengali Translation by Sushanta Kar will again appear in his own site. Dr Saiyanya Kuumar  Bhradwaj presented a micro-level  idea on how exams get taken in Germany in his writing হিটলাৰৰ দেশত পৰীক্ষা

Prashanta Bora is continuing with his career tips ‘Notes for Freshers’. Teachers might feel benefited from the information presented on the research journals in the column ‘Career Tabloid’.
