Burger King Scholarship Program
![]() BURGER KING® Scholars awards are $1,000 each and may be used for educational expenses, such as tuition fees and books, during the first year of college or post-secondary vocational/technical school. For students to qualify, they must be a high school senior and a resident of the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico that meets our criteria below. Dr. Suess Scholarship Program Oh, the Place You'll Go! Scholarship For Seniors Only: Write an essay no longer than 500 words (1 page), double-spaced - You MUST complete the application - see Mr. Greenbaum to get a copy of the application!!
Essay Question - Dr Suess's "Oh, the Places You'll Go!" delivers an important message about the chances and the troubles that life presents. Think about the book "Oh, the Places You'll Go!", what kind of opportunites and challenges do you think your education will present in the future?
Deadline - February 15th, 2010 Are you interested in studying criminal justice?? If so, check out the Broward Chiefs of Police Association and the American Society for Industrial Security Scholarship.
This is an opportunity to earn a scholarship worth $1500 Here are the requirements for eligiblity: * Applicants must be majoring in criminal justice *Must be a dependant of a law enforcement officer from an agency in Broward County who is active, retired or vested. *This scholarship will be awarded on the basis of financial need, grade point average and community involvement.

The 2010 Gate Millenium Scholars Program application is now available at www.gmsp.org
This is a FULL tuition scholarship for 4 years to any U.S. accredited college or University of your choice.
Deadline - January 11th, 2010
To qualify for this scholarship you must meet the following criteria:
* Are African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian Pacific Islander American or Hispanic American
* Are a citizen/legal permanent resident of the US
* Have attained a minimum cumulative unweighted gpa of 3.3
* Have demonstrated leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular or other activities
*Meet the Federal Pell Grant eligibility criteria (through submission of the FAFSA).
* Have all 3 required forms (Nominee Personal Info. Form, Nominator Form and Recommender Form) completed and submitted by January 11th, 2010.
To qualify you must:
**Be a High School Senior
**Have a minimum 2.75 GPA
**Plan to attend a college or university within the State of Florida
**Demonstrate Financial Need
The applications will be available online starting December 1st, 2009. The deadline is February 10th, 2010.

Nova Southeastern University Merit Scholarships
NSU is now offering 100% Tuition Scholarships to students who qualify for the Florida Academic Scholars. To qualify you must have:
*Min. 3.5 Academic GPA
*Min. 1270 SAT (reading/math) OR
28 ACT
*Min 75 Community Service Hours

The GAR College Scholarship
$50,000 per student
5 High School Seniors will receive college scholarships of $12,500 per year to attend any nationally accredited 4-year college for full-time study.
Open to all High School Seniors who:
* have shown high academic achievement (3.5 gpa or higher)
* have financial need
* are dependent children of employees who have, or had a career in the financial services industry.
Applications will be available and accepted beginning December 1, 2009 and must be postmarked no later than February 15, 2010.
