OFF-SHORE CHAMPIONSHIPS - SATURDAY 29TH/SUNDAY 30TH AUGUST 2009.

COMPETITORS ARE CAUTIONED TO BE AWARE OF HAZARDS INVOLVED IN FISHING & BOATING. ENSURE YOU SAFELY FISH/BOAT TO YOUR OWN CAPABILITIES.
TWO x SIX HOUR SESSIONS. NSWFCA operates a Safety Disc system which requires all Boat Captains to obtain same to ensure search details are available in case of mishap. Boat Captains to return disc to Safety Officer prior to commencement of Weigh-in for each session. Cost $10.00 per disc refundable on 2nd return 30 August.
REGISTRATIONS & DISC PURCHASE: Headquarters: Between 5.00pm & 7.00pm Friday, 28-08-09.
Competitors may also send nomination form, boat search details & cheque by post to reach Robyn Smith, by
26 August & pick up Stamp Out Card & Disc at nominated Boat Ramp only at 4.55 am Saturday 29th.

STAMP OUT & BRIEFING: Each competitor is required to be in attendance at the “Briefing Session” for each Round and the “Stamp Out” as above (it is then up to the Competitor to decide at what time to actually put to sea). The “Briefing” will advise if the Round is – [a] “On”; [b] “Delayed Start” or [c] “Postponed/Off”. The Competition Committee reserves the right to change the times of the above competitions (by delaying commencement/bringing forward “Lines up” time) after taking into consideration weather/bar conditions.
Appropriate notices will be displayed on NSWFCA Notice Board at Headquarters and verbally advised at boat ramps.
ELIGIBILITY: Financial Registered members of affiliated clubs.
Competitors may enter one category for which they qualify by age or gender.
Competitors to produce current NSWFCA Registration card or proof of current NSWFCA membership if registration
card pending. Stamp Out cards issued at registration but Safety Disc will only be issued to boat captains whose
Stamp Out card indicates disc purchased.

9 SPECIES AWARDS: Snapper, Tailor, Tuna, Flathead, Kingfish, Trevally, Morwong, Leather Jacket,
Heaviest of other eligible specie on merit & Heaviest bag of most number of different eligible species.
RULES: Fish to be weighed whole – No allowance will be made for fish presented gilled & gutted.
The competition will be conducted in accordance with the NSWFCA By-Laws and NSW Fisheries Saltwater Regulations. Competitors are not permitted to weigh fish caught outside the stated session fishing times.
PROTESTS: Must be lodged in writing to Competition Secretary within 1 hour of the conclusion of the particular weigh-in.
