Churches in Obsidian

In the port of Obsidian there are three established churches, each with a head cleric, their acolytes and flock. Other clerics and laymen worshipping the other gods do exist, but their places of worship at either simple (or elaborate) shrines or take place at home.

Church of Lúcás

The first church to be built in Obsidian, it is also the most popular. It stands high on the hill of the merchant district, where it catches the sun.

Church of Dairine

A popular church for the farmers and labourers of the port, this church is overseen by an eldery woman who is blind.

Church of Feidhlim

The smallest of the three churches, reguarly attended by gnomes and those few well-treated halflings, this place of worship also boasts a back room gambling den that is frequented by merchants of the lesser houses and a few orcs trying their luck.

Other known places of worship:

  • The hobgoblins have a shrine dedicated to Cahan in their fort, but do not let anyone outside their army visit it.
  • The elven compound has a shrine at the centre of their woods, where they pay homage to Cerinwe.
  • The halflings have their own shrine to Feidhlim, in a small clearing amongst their huts.
  • Scathach is worshipped at a mobile shrine that moves throughout Obsidian, occasionally wending its way into the wilds and even taking up residence in an empty ruin for a few days before moving on. A cloaked and hooded man, his name unknown, carries it on his back and reads the fortunes of those who pray at the shrine.
