HOLY BAPTISM At the 8:00 service, the congregation celebrates the Baptism of Alexander R. Alexander was born and baptized on August 1st at the University of Iowa Hospitals. Alexander’s parents are Mike and Faith R. Ed and Patty Y., Alexander’s grandparents, are his sponsors and have provided flowers for the Altar in honor of Alexander’s Baptism. PAINT BRUSHES, CLEANING SUPPLIES Painting and cleaning are just of few of the tasks needing completed at the October 10th Camp IO-DIS-E-CA Fall Work Day. Come any time between 8:00 am—4:00 pm. Other tasks on the list include working on the camp’s challenge course, wood chipping and splitting. This is a great event for families, youth groups, and congregations. Camp IO-DIS-E-CA is a year-round camp and retreat center affiliated with the Iowa District East of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. Activities which include archery, hay rides, climbing wall, apple bobbing and pumpkin painting begin at 12:30. Also beginning at 12:30 you can purchase baked goods including pies and arts and craft items. An auction for quilts, gift cards, arts and craft items along with a silent auction starts at 3:30.
