The best thing about our pond is the frog song at night.

Soon we will add some night recordings of our frogs.

With 5 known species of frogs we get a great chorus of frog song at night.  After rain the noise can be deafening.  Luckily one of our neighbours has bad hearing.  The other neighbour is very polite.

The first summer after we converted the pool we had many hundreds of tadpoles.  However, since the fish population has grown the tadpole numbers have dwindled.

The pond is teaming with frogs.

It only took a few months for the frogs to start moving in.  We have at least 5 species, including:

- Striped marsh frog (Limnodynastes peronii)
- Eastern froglet (Crinia signifera)
- Leaf green tree frog (Litoria phyllochroa)
- Eastern dwarf tree frog (Litoria fallax)
- Perons tree frog (Litoria peronii)
