Doggie Drinking Fountain
This doggie drinking fountain looks like a handy-dandy addition to any backyard with thirsty dogs that go down to the pond to get a drink of water . This drinking fountain prevents the dogs disturbing fish, frogs, turtles, etc. Newly sowed clover is beginning to poke their tiny heads toward the sky ... looks so idealistic ... WRONG.
NOTICE: In the above picture of the Doggie Drinking Fountain the very WET ground the clover is thriving in! This mud is NOT because of any recent rain but rather spray from the fountain hose!!

UV Filter Hose NOW returns water DIRECTLY back into Pond
It didn't take a rocket scientist this morning to solve the over-spraying doggie drinking fountain. The return hose from the UV Filter was simply picked up and taken out of the drinking fountain and put down into the pond. In the above picture the water flowing over the mini-waterfalls is from the French Drain outlet where I had inserted the hose to add water to my pond this morning:

It is less traumatic for the pond residents to have the hose water enter their pond environment via the mini-waterfalls versus dropping a hose in their pond - a hose resembling a snake in the eyes of those little guys so often a prey. This is also the reason none of my birds I've had like the vacumn sweeper hose ... the "snake shape" is one of those threatening shapes most likely a part of prey creature's DNA.
