Chinese Culture Day is held to promote Chinese culture among international students and CNETs, while at the same time improve local students' spoken English and create a wonderful chance for young people with different culture backgroud to share their feelings.
In the morning, committee members led helpers and internationl students to go through basic history and geography of Hong Kong. During the mini-lecture, traditional snacks were provided, including egg tucks ( particularly popular), Gui Ling Gao, Pineapple Bread and Dim Sun. At noon, helpers and international students were divided into groups going out eat according to our recommended restaurants. Every one got $25 subsidy. Even more exciting workshops were in the afternoon. One is Rice Ball cooking workshop and the other was Chinese Calligraphy workshop.
When the activity ended, many students still stayed and talked. One French girl was quite interested in our activities and spoke highly of such cultural exchange program. She also expressed willing to hold a similar " French Day" !
