The ORTO cluster is a linux cluster of machines that provide different
services, like filesystems, email, printing, and CPU. To login on the ORTO cluster, a username must be provided. Please, refer to valter.dardanello@polito.it and maurizio.munafo@polito.it to get one if you do not have access to the cluster. A Yellow Pages server is used to allow the login on different machine using the same credentials. The yp server is sequoia.polito.it (130.192.9.200). Similarly, a NFS server allows to export the filesystem to all machines, so that you will always find the same files on any machine of the cluster you will login to. Main intro to the services:
