These workshops are jointly arranged between UCD and the University of Newport, Wales. The first workshop , organised by Marit Hovdal Moan, featured four papers on exclusions of non-citizens, and was held in The University of Wales Newport, on March 25 2011. It included papers by Meghan Benton, Marit Hovdal Moan, David Owen and Chris Bertram.

The 2012 Conference will be held at Queen’s University Belfast, 25-27 June. The theme is Freedom. The annual conference of the Political Studies Association of Ireland will be arranged by the Dublin Institute of Technology. It will take place in their campus in Aungier Street, Dublin 2.
