Political Science 001

Welcome

In the past, students have said they enrolled only reluctantly in Political Science 001.  Having little or no interest in the subject, they enrolled only to meet a requirement.

Perhaps your own motivation for being in this class differs, perhaps it does not.

This website is intended to offer a rich variety of materials,  and tasks so that the content as well as the method of this class will awaken your political interest, or heighten it. Along with conversations with your neighbors in the classroom, this election season course should enable you to:
  • evaluate your own attitudes toward politics and government
  • examine which Nov. 4 candidates and issues you would like to see win the vote
  • determine whether building "concept maps" is a technique that improves your study effectiveness
  • increase your interest in the world of politics, leading, perhaps to your future enrollment in
Political Science 002
Political Science 007
Political Science 041
Political Science 185
Political Science 285
Political Science 385

Your suggestions for making this website more useful to you are appreciated.
