Superfish - This is my band. We play New Orleans-style funk and blues. We also have a jazz quartet called SPF4. That's the most important link I can think of. Because I'm a really nice guy, here are some other links I think deserve to be mentioned. Jeff Budnick - Jeff is my most frequent partner in music. He plays tenor sax in Superfish and in SPF4, but also plays clarinet, piano, and cello at professional levels. We work very well together, so if you need both a trumpet and sax player, pick us up together and save yourself the trouble of having to keep looking around. Brian Wesolowski - Brian is a great friend and taught me for a year at Taravella. He is one of the best tenor sax players I have ever heard and is based out of the Ft. Lauderdale area. Stefano Di Bella - As you can tell I'm blessed to know many great tenor sax players, and Stefano really is fantastic. He is currently touring with Fantasia of American Idol fame. Steve Picataggio - Steve is an incredible drummer that I've known for practically my whole life. He studies at UNF with Danny Gottlieb and is based out of Jacksonville and, at times, Ft. Lauderdale. Daniel Kalisher - Dan is going to be reeeeally famous some day. He is an amazing guitarist who studied with Barry Greene at UNF and is now touring with Drake Bell. You won't be disappointed. Nikk Nakks - Nikk Nakks Music is run by another former teacher of mine, Nikk Pilato. He offers custom music arrangements for bands and orchestras, drill design for marching bands, transcriptions, and engraving services. Gainesville Friends of Jazz and Blues - These guys put on great concerts for not a lot of money every month in Gainesville. Support them. They know what's up. Harvest of Hope Fest - This is an annual festival to raise funds for the Harvest of Hope Foundation, which benefits migrant farmworkers in need. The guys that run this foundation are incredible and hard-working and do everything for their cause. Superfish played a benefit concert for the foundation in November, 2009, and played at the second annual HOH Fest in March, 2010. |
