Deep Link

What is Deep link?
Deep linking, on the World Wide Web, is making a hyperlink that points to a specific page or image on another website, instead of that website's main or home page. Such links are called deep links. A hyperlink that takes the user directly to a page within a website, instead of to the home page. For example, used in affiliate relationships where a partner wishes to offer a link to a specific product or information page. A deep link is a link to a specific page or product in an advertisers site.

What is DEEP-LINKING ?
DEEP-LINKING is referencing to pages within a site, not just the front page. For example, if you see www.xyz.org.uk  that's not a deep link, but if you see www.xyz.org.uk/allders.htm or www.zyra.org.uk/linux.htm , that is a deep link. Deep-Linking is linking to any page on another site other than the home page.

What is Deep Link Ratio?

Answer:
Deep link percentage is the % of all your backlinks (or inbound links) that point at pages other than your home page.

Why Deep Links are Important?
DeepLink provides listings of internal web pages only. Our goal is to have a directory with listings and unique descriptions. You cannot and should not have your homepage optimized for more than a couple of keywordphrases. Ideally, your SEO efforts should included internal pages optimized for different keywords. Internal directory links will help your search engine rankings.

The Importance of Deep Links in Directories!
Deep links are nothing but links that point to precise pages in your website. Explaining them would make it easier to pen down the advantages that it could fetch to your business. To get a better understanding.

For example, you own a shopping website and after the description of each product, you put a back link to the home page instead of driving the user to some specific articles on your site. These could be the articles that talk about your various products and its benefits. So simply put as, you do not point back to the articles and you go to the main page directly. Such navigation does not help you in optimizing the link structure on your website. Another way to look at it would be that if someone comes across a good website and wants to share it with friends, then the obvious way to do it would be to copy the link from the browser and paste it back to share with others. This is called deep linking.

Advantage of Deep Linking Opportunities?
We all understand the importance of having back links pointing to your site. Links increase your visibility, build trust with the search engines, and make your site more relevant for its keywords.
