PMP Certification Exam Prep Training

(All required books and materials included in price)

The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a globally-recognized credential managed by The Project Management Institute.  PMP certification indicates both training and experience in the field of project management.  As the business world continues to emphasize the use of projects to maintain a competitive edge employers have discovered the ease of searching for trained and experienced project managers by starting with individuals holding the PMP Certification.  The PMI Willamette Valley Chapter, Corvallis Branch will be holding a 10-Week (35-hour) education class to prepare you to take the PMP Exam.  This is not just a study group but a full class with education about the PMI-way of managing projects as well as ideas and strategies on how to pass the certification exam on your first try taught by local PMPs that have been through it.

To find out what is required to sit for the exam and understand education and experience requirements please consult the PMP Handbook (pages 6 – 11).  This course will satisfy the 35 hours of Project Management education required to sit for the exam.

Presentation

Information is power!   Do you realize that more power is found in sharing information that in holding it back? This is especially true for your project, and especially project challenges. Learn to use information that can affect your project to enhance stakeholder support and project results. The key is providing the right information, to the right people, at the best time, and in the best way. The Stakeholder Analysis is the key to good communication. Working to better understand how to leverage the Stakeholder Analysis and communicate to others will yield better project results. Workshop objectives include:

  • Identifying how to share information and to whom
  • Specific benefits of sharing information, especially in regards to project challenges
  • Understanding what good communication means
