About PMI

The Project Management Institute (PMI) is a non-profit professional organization dedicated to advancing the state-of-the-art in the management of projects. PMI membership is open to anyone actively engaged or interested in the application, practice, teaching, and researching of project management principles and techniques.

Claiming PDUs

PMPs (Project Management Professionals) may claim one (1.0) Professional Development Unit (PDU) for attending Eugene PMI's monthly dinner meetings.

To do so, self-report on the PMI national website at www.pmi.org/CCRS/ (opens in a new window). Use the following steps/codes:
  1. Login (upper right)
  2. Click View PDUs
  3. Click Report Professional Development Units
  4. Enter Category 3: PMI Component Event
  5. Activity Type: 1-2 PDU Event
  6. Click Next
  7. Component ID: C135 (Component Name: PMI Willamette Valley Chapter, Oregon)
  8. Click Search and Select the PMI Willamette Valley Chapter
  9. Activity Date: Enter the Dinner Meeting's Date
  10. Activity Title: Enter the Dinner Meeting's Title
  11. Meeting Number: leave blank
  12. Contact Person: Keith Pruett
  13. Email: vpprograms@eugenepmi.org
  14. Click Next
  15. Enter PDU's claimed
  16. Click Next
  17. Read confirmation and click I agree
  18. Click Next
  19. DONE with the form
  20. Keep your proof of attendance (handouts will work) in case PMI elects to audit your records.
