Jen Jones, President & VP Programs(President@EugenePMI.org)
Jen volunteered for the Eugene Public Library beginning in 2003 for three (3) years. She began volunteering for the Project Management Institute (PMI) in 2007 as the assistant to the VP of Education for the Eugene Branch of the Willamette Valley Chapter. In 2008, she was elected as the VP of Education and in 2009 was elected to the VP of Programs position for the 2009-2010 board year. Jen grew up in Eugene, Oregon. In her spare time, she plays indoor and outdoor soccer, hangs out with friends and family, reads science fiction (sci-fi), is a member of a monthly sci-fi book group, and recently became the proud new parent to two kittens starting July. Jen graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 2006. She began her career as a self-employed Website designer/developer in 1996 and with a successful internship for a summer at Hewlett Packard in Vancouver, WA. She has 12 years of programming and development experience and 4 years of project management experience working for a local nonprofit, International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), as IT Project Coordinator. She currently works for the University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business as an Information Systems Developer.
