UK Conference

Social Enterprise in the UK and China – A Comparative Perspective

22nd May, Kettering Conference Centre, 9.30am – 3.00pm

The photos of the conference can be found here

Northampton Business School has been working with the Capital University of Economics and Business in Beijing to look at the socio-economic impacts of social enterprises.

To help raise awareness of the activities undertaken as part of their British Council funded project, Northampton Business School and CUEB have organised a conference workshop to review some of the work done so far, and to discuss some of their work, sharing it with interested parties to help get crucial feedback.

The day will help in the project’s aims by assisting with the development of:

•        New, shared and disseminated knowledge in the areas of social enterprise development and management

•        New accredited programmes, at under- and postgraduate levels in Social Enterprise

There will be the chance to look at the University’s work on assessing social enterprise impacts and opportunities within the health sector, as well as wider social enterprise developments. It will also give the opportunity to compare Chinese approaches to social enterprise.
