Pancake DayThis annual event usually takes place in the last Saturday of January at the Harper County Fair Barn, Harper KS. The event begins at 6:30 AM and runs until 6:30 PM. Join great fellowship with your neighbor. We serve pancakes, sausages, a variety of drinks, and desserts. A good will offering will be taken. The offering will help benefit those families in crisis in the city of Harper. Come join us for our 51st year in 2013! Vacation Bible SchoolThe community is invited to go to Camp Mennoscah, near Murdock, KS for grades 1-8. The 7th and 8th grade have a sweat camp. This is a great place to fellowship with your friends and learn more about Jesus. There are plenty of activites provided. Canoeing, swimming pool and trails. The food is delicious! Make plans for next year to attend Bible School.
Hearts to Hands Ministry List of opportunities in the community and within the church family: General fix it jobs; Childcare; Financial; Meals; Skilled Labor; Auto Mechanics; House cleaning, counseling, sewing, and encouragement. Hearts to Hands is based on scripture from I John 3: 17, 18. Some of the activities that hearts to hands puts on are: Picnic in the Park, after the Bible Camp, the annual Free Car Wash, and Rake-and-Run.
Trunk or Treat This is a new tradition from our Outreach committee as of October 29, 2011. Members are invited to decorate their car in a theme and also bring Halloween treats to hand out to the children. There was a cake walk, face painting, hay bale maze for children, weiner roast, and decorating pumpkins. This was held at the parking lot of PV Mennonite Church. This will be held during the last during the Saturday just before Halloween each year.
